Are you an EARLY BIRD?

… Then check out the early birds. Take advantage of the early morning hours before our classmates rub the sleep out of their eyes.

Early mornings (dawn) and late afternoons (dusk) are the best time to experience Stone Mountain’s songbird meadow and 1-mile looping trail.

The path is flat and wide so it can be easily navigated.

Trees, shrubs and grass mixes provide food throughout the year for resident and migratory songbirds.

Some of the species planted include Maples, Cedars, Hollies, Redbud, Cherry, Crabapple, Jessamine, Trumpet Creeper, Clover, Wheat, Lovegrass, Sunflower and additional wildflowers.

Besides the 1-mile walking loop, there is an additional 1-mile trail through the forest, providing you a chance to see numerous native plants, and perhaps a red-tailed hawk, screeching and swooping through the trees.

Catch up with the rest of the reunion crowd after your individual morning "wake-up" excursion.

Be sure to take your camera and a bottle of water.

This might be the perfect end to a perfect event
(just before you leave for your trip back home).

Need A ROOMMATE?  Traveling ALONE?

If you would like to share a hotel room with another single classmate, please let us know and we will put you in touch with like-minded people. Sharing a room cuts down on expenses.
